Starting in Deuteronomy 8: 7-18 correlated with II Corinthians 8.
Deuteronomy 8: 7-18. For the Lord thy God bringeth thee
into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that
spring out of the valleys and hills;
A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and
pomegranates; a land of olive oil, and honey;
A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness,
thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose hills are iron, and out of
whose hills thou mayest dig brass.
When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless
the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. Beware that thou
forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his
judgements, and his statutes, which I command the this day:
Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built
goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver
and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord
thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of
bondage;
Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness,
wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no
water out of the rock of flint;
Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy
fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to
do thee good at thy latter end;
And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of
mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth the power to
get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers,
as it is this day.
Title: Breaking Poverty- Moving into Prosperity. Grace of
giving.
Grace comes to enable you to do what you cannot do in your
own strength. Moving out of poverty, moving out of mental reason, moving in the
spirit. Good Land, Good God, any land He places you in is Good Land.
Note #. Egypt
is the Land of not enough, or Bondage, Israel is the Land of just enough, and
we must get into the Land of more than enough. Decrease and decline is not Gods
Covenant.
We must flow with God’s Word to prosperity. God wants His
people to be flowing in increase multiplication and super abundance. We will
not get there by wishful thinking, only by flowing with the Word of God.
In verses 14-16 he points out that We always forget Gods
purpose in the end, when we go through wilderness experiences. The wilderness
gets Egyptian thinking and Egyptian desires out of you, so that He can trust
you with His Promised Land Blessing. If you haven’t been changed inside, a big
influx of money would be nothing to you, because its going to go in the same
hole everything else has been going.
So Gods going to change you on the inside, so He can trust
you with multiplied Blessings, so He can give you the increase, He wants to do
you good in the end, in the meantime He’s got to change our Egyptionized
hearts, so that we have kingdom hearts, Changed by His Word.
Verse 17, Egyptian thinking is Pride, Ego,
self-confidence, self-centeredness and arrogance, Haughtiness.
God gives you the power to get wealth, its not the ability
to get wealth, its the power- a vast powerful difference. The purpose in giving
the power is to “Establish His Covenant” Never loose sight of that.
Deuteronomy 9: 5, Not for thy righteousness, or for the
uprightness of thine heart, doest thou go to posses their land: but for the
wickedness of these nations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before
thee, and that he may perform the word which the Lord sware unto thy fathers,
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Listen the Covenant He is talking about is THE Covenant.
Genesis 12: 1-3, now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get
thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house,
unto a land that I will show thee:
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless
thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless
them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be blessed.
The “Enemy” wants us to forget and fail to recognize, Gods
Covenant Call to Abraham and to us. Jerry Saville- interpreted “Blessing” as
the “anointing” – to empower you to prosper.
God wants you to prosper, to bless you to bless all the
families of the earth. You can’t bless all the nations of the earth if you are
not in prosperity.
Verse 3, In thee all families of the earth shall be
blessed. My Covenant Calling, your Covenant Calling. To be honest, how many
families can you bless when you can’t pay your own bills?
We’ve got so bowed down with daily living we’ve lost sight
of Gods calling! So if you can’t bless God with the $100.00 now you can’t bless
God with the $1,000,000.00 that comes to you.
Key Point-
Egyptian thinking is, my this, my that, me, my-self, I, total SELF-CENTERDNESS.
The Covenant is, bless this family, that family, the other
family, and when you’re blessing those families, IM going to bless you! I am
going to establish my Covenant when you get a vision to bless other families;
you’re going to experience more blessing than you can conceive of.
That’s how the power to get wealth works and we must
recognize the power in our hands to get wealth, through the grace of giving.
Key Point- Stay
out of, me, me, I, Myself!
It begins with your own family, if you can’t bless your
own family, you can’t bless the family next door. Husbands bless your wives,
Parents bless your children, do not be stingy and self centered, thinking you
can’t afford it.
You cannot afford not to give; giving is getting into the
lifestyle of blessing, the families of the earth.
Example: The
next time you’re out and about, ask the Holy Spirit to pick a family, and you
just pick up their tab without them knowing it and you will leave happy with a
smile, and a Harvest will come from giving and you will be blessed for blessing
them, and God will empower you to prosper so that you can be a blessing to all
the families of the earth.
Acts 3:25, Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the
covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed
shall all the Kindred’s of the earth be blessed.
Peter proclaimed through Jesus the anointed one; we are
the seed of Abraham, through the Covenant of God, to bless all the families of
the earth.
II Corinthians 8: 1-9, 11-14, Moreover, Brethren, we do
you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that
in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep
poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their
power they were willing of themselves; praying us with much entreaty that we
would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to
the saints.
And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their
own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so
he would also finish in you the same grace also. Therefore, as ye abound in
everything, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and
your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. I speak not by commandment,
but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of
your love. Foe ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was
rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be
rich.
Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a
readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye
have.
For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted
according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:
But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for
their want, and their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there
may be equality.
There is a parallel between the anointing and finances in
the truth of being empowered to prosper. The anointing to bless you in every
respect, so you can abound into every good work.
Look at the picture of Elisha and the widow woman, she
took her oil and borrowed every vessel she could find, and went home and shut
the door, and poured out the oil, then sold those vessels and sold the oil, and
she had enough money.
So as we pour out the anointing oil, never worry about
your financial needs, keep pouring out the anointing and every financial need
is going to be met.
Galatians 3: 16-18, 26-29, Now to Abraham and his seed
were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one,
And to thy seed which is Christ. (Anointing)
And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed
before of God in Christ, the Law, which was four hundred and thirty years
after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
For if the inheritance be of the Law, it is no more of
promise but God gave it to Abraham by promise. For ye are all the children of
God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into
Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there in neither
male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then
are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Paul said, it is fulfilled to us as a promise to the
spirit, that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in the
anointed one Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the spirit
through Faith, so the blessing of Abraham comes to us as the outpouring of the
Spirit of God in our lives, and by the Holy Spirit we receive every blessing,
Jesus died to purchase to make it our own.
The more we pour out the anointing the more God is going
to bless us, but you hang on to the anointing and hang on to your finances, and
both will dry up, then you will struggle and be in poverty.
There is a close parallel between your generosity and
God’s increase of anointing. There is a close parallel between your generosity
and the anointing and God’s increase in your finances, the two flow together.
II Corinthians 8, The word Grace and the word Joy, in the
Greek Comes from the same root word, Meaning (Generosity).
Grace imparted
produces Joy and it’s Joy that sets you free to be generous. Joy made them not
worry in Verse 2, not worry about their great trial of affliction and deep
poverty and got them soooooo loose in that Joy that they became over flowingly
generous in the offering.
Grace came to them and it resulted in Joy and caused them
to give. It’s the Law that surrounds giving that has robbed us of the grace
that is to be bestowed on us, because everyone is sitting tight on money- or
other offerings, because of being afraid of being manipulated into giving and
so on.
Afraid, Fear Equals- False Emotions Appear Real!
Because Preachers has used the threat of fear and all
sorts of ways to manipulate people to give, you don’t have to manipulate. If
you would release and stand in grace, because grace will impart Joy, and people
get so happy and so free that thy will say “please take the offering”.
It’s not just the giving of money, its just a symbol of
the total self giving of themselves. Their availability to the Lord, and also
to the minister. In Verse 7, Faith, utterance, or speech, knowledge, diligence,
and love, Grace also Means Charity. Gift of giving!
You can give according to the Holy Spirit of God, by
listening to the Holy Spirit and get into God’s miraculous plan of giving. Be
set free of the Fear motivations in giving from manipulation that you’ve been
used to, when you Give by the Holy Spirit you can’t be manipulated by people.
You can’t be shamed into giving; you don’t fall prey to people pumping you.
In the grace of giving by the Holy Spirit every need will
be met. Get Free, Get Free, and Listen as Paul said, Every person gives as he
determines in his own heart. It is wrong that anyone tells you what you should
give. You have to determine in your own heart and listen to the Holy Spirit,
give only what He tells you to give. If he doesn’t tell you to give don’t. If
he sets a certain amount, do that, no more, no less.
Giving by reason there is no blessing, but by revelation
there is a great harvest, because all of the New Covenant is by revelation.
II Corinthians 9: 6-10, But this I say, He which sows
sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap
bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give;
not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that
ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: His
righteousness remaineth forever. Now that he that ministereth seed to the sower
both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase
the fruits of your righteousness;)
Back to Ch 8: verse 9, Jesus the anointed one through His
death, though He was rich, became poor, that we might be rich. He sealed
Abraham’s Covenant, to establish His Covenant to bless the families of the
earth.
Focus on all the families of the earth, focus on the
Covenant Call to us by God, focus on the needs of others, not on Me I myself,
Me.
In II Corinthians 9: 5-10, The Spirit of God under the New
Covenant with the freedom that we have doesn’t like people giving under a
grudging obligation, and the Holy Spirit doesn’t like people giving under a
sense of necessity, and don’t like people giving under fear of not giving, and
don’t like people giving out of the motive of the fear of man, or the fear of
something bad happening.
The Holy Spirit wants giving to be motivated by love, and
God likes a cheerful giver in the grace of giving. We are free and at liberty
from the curse of the Law, everything in the Old Covenant has come through the
cross of Jesus the anointed one and through His blood, everything is redeemed
through the shed blood of Jesus the anointed one.
In sowing sparingly, we will reap sparingly, but if we sow
bountifully, we will reap bountifully in that we determine our own, hear our
own Harvest by what we sow!
Yes determine our own Harvest, so if we sow sparingly we
reap sparingly, if we sow bountifully we reap bountifully.
This is a total different mind set from being need
conscious and self conscious to becoming conscious that I am a Citizen of the
Kingdom of God, and God has planted me here in order to bless all the families
of the earth. Don’t put the cart before the horse by thinking that if you could
get out of debt you could sow more into the Kingdom.
You’ve got to sow yourself out of debt! The mentality in
debt is that one puts dedication of the funds into getting out of endless debt,
and God Sais No You Got It Wrong. You want to get out of debt, sow your way out
of debt, because as you increase in the seed side, you are going to have an
increase in the harvest side. That’s how it works, that’s the power to get
wealth.
Out of everything that comes to you, ask one Question of
the Holy Spirit, What is seed, and what is Bread. Don’t eat your seed, and
don’t seed you bread, it is that simple.
If God sais it is seed, or directs you that its seed, then
to eat what the Spirit of God sais is seed, is going to cut off your increase.
If you sow your bread, then you got to go to God and tell God your needs are
not being met, and He will tell you that you are throwing away what He has
given you.
We’ve got to follow the Holy Spirit to get our increase,
because God’s Word is true and God’s Word is Law. You can’t be a full time
reaper, without being a full time sower, and we can’t put the cart before the
horse.
Getting in the mind set of the sower and just looking for
places to sow seed, and asking the Lord whom and where He wants you to sow
seed, to bless the families of the earth.
It’s becoming see conscious, Lord where can I bless
somebody today, where can I seed today? You know we always think seed had to be
in some ministry somewhere, but you will discover God likes to bless and Love
everybody.
Obviously you want to look for good soil, so you ask the
Holy Spirit to direct you to look for good soil. When you sow out seed, what is
it that you want or need? Don’t just throw out seed, without expecting anything
from God. Name your seed, hear me, Name your seed. Tell God, We are looking for
this, we are needing this, in expectation of this.
Operate in faith, have an expectation in faith.
Jesus the anointed one said, its according to your faith,
if you don’t exercise faith in your sowing, don’t expect much in the harvest
and in the reaping. Sow in Faith! For the harvest when you sow expect the
harvest and say, Lord this is what we are sowing for.
Ask the Holy Spirit what is seed? And what is Bread? And
sow what the Holy Spirit sais, even if it’s a large amount, because He might be
seeing a big, big harvest down the road that is coming to you. Be full of Joy,
Be happy everytime you sow, the harvest will blow your mind in expectation.
