Eze 33:12  Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
Eze 33:13  When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

Eze 33:26  Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbour's wife: and shall ye possess the land?
Eze 33:27  Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

Second point:
When the New Testament Prophet calls the Fire down, it is NOT and I repeat, it is NOT the Fire that Elijah called down.
1Ki 18:22  Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
1Ki 18:23  Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:
1Ki 18:24  And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.
1Ki 18:25  And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
1Ki 18:26  And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
1Ki 18:27  And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.
1Ki 18:28  And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.
1Ki 18:29  And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.
1Ki 18:30  And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.
1Ki 18:31  And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:
1Ki 18:32  And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
1Ki 18:33  And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.
1Ki 18:34  And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.
1Ki 18:35  And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
1Ki 18:36  And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
1Ki 18:37  Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
1Ki 18:38  Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
1Ki 18:39  And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

This is the Fire the New Testament Prophet calls and Prophesies to, to come and Remove Burdens and to Destroy Yokes because of the anointing.

Here is a little more explanation:

  • The first word is anointing!
Turn to Isaiah 61: 1-3: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because he hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek (poor); he hath sent me to bind up (heal) the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them (those) that (who) are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that (who) mourn; To (console) appoint unto them (all those) that mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes.
Note #. ashes are the residue of a past fire that has gone out, and so many of us who are in Ministry have ashes in our lives, we look back to that time when God used us and that particular Ministry, and that particular Church when we saw the hand of God move and we are always looking back and wishing, Oh God if it could be like that again, and we keep our lives cluttered with ashes that we keep sweeping around and reminiscing over and so on, God says Just yield to the anointing, Ill give you beauty for ashes, Ill make the present beautiful, more beautiful than the past.
We are always in danger of trying to hang on to past fire, but it doesn’t take long before that past fire to turn to ashes, and if you don’t move on with the cloud all you will be doing, will be sweeping ashes. He wants to give beauty for ashes!!

Back to verse 3. The oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees (or Oaks) of righteousness, ( steadfastness)

Note # .We think its through teaching that we would raise up strong, steadfast, mature people, but its not, it’s the anointing, it’s the Spirit on the Word, it’s the Spirit on the Word, it’s the Spirit on the Word, it’s the Spirit on the Word, that they may be called Oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.

So its by the anointing that that maturity and stability is going to come in the Church of Jesus the anointed one and his anointing, and we must let God teach and expand and explode in our Spirits the whole concept of anointing.
We have to get back to the anointing, because Jesus preached about his anointing.

Acts 10: 34-38, 44: Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil;
For God was with him. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them that heard the word.

Note  #.  Its very clear that Peter said, Jesus from Galilee started preaching about how God had anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, he preached that, he demonstrated it, that was the gospel of the kingdom that he preached and he ministered and the disciples took up the same theme and they preached Christ, we saw Philip went into Samaria and he preached Christ. Now Don’t just read Christ, because that is a sad literary translation of the Greek word Christos, it should have been translated into the English translation of the Bible, The anointed one, so that we would understand that its talking about an anointing.
What made Jesus of Nazareth so powerful? It was the anointing! So he was called the anointed one, because he was distinguished by the anointing that he always spoke about and demonstrated. Then ten years after Pentecost they first called the disciples the anointed ones as well, Christians. Why?  Because they spoke about it and they demonstrated it. They were distinguished as people who were preoccupied with the anointing.
The more you preach about the anointed one and his anointing the more God demonstrates signs and wonders in the midst. That’s what the Word says, He would do.
As we start doing it and its going to take us as ministers getting into and studying the anointing, the best way to study it is on the floor under the anointing, yielding to the anointing, yielding to the anointing. The key word to what God is doing is Yielding, its just yielding, letting God be God and the Spirit be the Spirit and just Yes Lord, just do it. Yielding to the anointing. Yielding to the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 10: 27: And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Anointing is the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God, its not goose bumps, its not chills running up and down your spine, it may produce that, but the anointing is the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God. So judge the Spirit, not by weather a bunch of people get a good feeling, but there were burdens removed and yokes destroyed.
The joy will come by the joy of the Lord, and burdens will be removed and yokes will be destroyed, people will be changed, because of yielding to the anointing, just yielding to the anointing and didn’t it say that part of that anointing is to give you the oil of joy for mourning? People are squeaky, they need a Holy Ghost oil Change and so the Lord will give them a Holy Ghost oil change and fill them with the oil of joy, and burdens will be removed, and yokes will be destroyed, because of the anointing. Isn’t wonderful?
Others who have so much sorrow on them, and the anointing sets them free, burdens will be removed, and yokes will be destroyed, because of the anointing, and that’s how we know the anointing is present. Yes there is good feelings and people laugh and so on, but burdens are removed and yokes are destroyed so you know the anointing of God is in the place. Burden removing, yoke destroying in the name of Jesus, Yes! That’s it, get it into your spirit, get it into your spirit, the burden will be removed from off your back, the yoke will be removed from off your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed, because of the anointing.
Be careful now, people used to say the anointing breaks the yoke, and No it doesn’t say that, it says the anointing destroys the yoke. If you break a yoke you can get super glue and put it back together again. He Bible says the anointing destroys the yoke, and the word destruction, in the New Testament the Greek word perish is to destroy and this is the best definition of the word destroy, so the yoke perishes.
Destroy and perish- when something ceases to exist for the purpose for which it was intended, that means to be destroyed, so the yoke can never be put back on your neck.
You can take another yoke back on if you don’t take Jesus yoke on you, which, is easy, and his burden is light.
You will find you have taken the yoke of man on you, or have taken the yoke of a denomination on you, or have taken the yoke of tradition, or take the yoke the enemy forces on you.
So keep on taking the yoke of Jesus it’s easy, it’s easy, it’s easy, it’s easy, and the word easy is a word you find in Timothy where Paul speaks about vessels, vessels unto honor and vessels unto dishonor, in the same house you got the same type of vessel.
Then he says, If a man claims himself  from these things that are dishonorable are the things that affect your anointing, get rid of the dishonorable, he will be a vessel unto honor. Then he says this, highly useful to the master, and that word is the same word in the Greek as the word as easy, its also the word that Paul says about John Mark when he says, Bring John Mark for he is useful.

Timothy 2: 19-21: Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in the great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

That’s the word, Jesus yoke is easy, it fits comfortably, the rough edges worked off, and the anointing is doing that, its taking off al the junk that keeps us from laying easily in the hand of the master so that he can take us up and just pick us up and use us for any work that he wants to do
If a man cleans himself from the things that are unworthy, you will discover that under the anointing he is going take a lot of stuff out of your life that you thought that was very important to your life and the ministry and he is going to take it out and your going to say wow was I seduced by that thing he took out. Then you will discover your life is going to become incredibly simplified by the anointing. It’s wonderful! Yes his yoke is very easy, his burden is very light, and it fits very comfortably, on the neck his yoke.
So if your under a yoke that’s not comfortable you are not under a Spirit of God, its an imposed yoke your under another yoke.
It’s a yoke of denominational expectation, a yoke of denominational political system, a yoke of wanting to please elders, deacon boards, and all the rest of it, a yoke of measuring up to the expectation of people, a yoke of legalism, a yoke of tradition, a yoke of formalism, a yoke of addiction, a yoke of sin and so on.

  • The second word is fire! Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire!
Well John said, He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with Fire.

Luke 3: 16: John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whom shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire;

What is the fire all about? What is the fire about?
What you discover when you look in the word of God, you discover is the fire of God is his jealousy. Its reinterated a number of times in the Old Testament, I will give you 3 verses to show you, but there is a lot more and you can study them.

Ezekiel 36:5: Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Surley in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.
Zephaniah 1: 18: Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
Zephaniah 3: 8: Therefore wait upon me, saith the Lord, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

In the whole thing of the jealousy, the consuming jealousy, when a man is jealous over his wife back in Leviticus and everything that happened, the consuming, you discover about the jealousy and so on.
Here’s the interesting thing in both the Hebrew and the Greek the word for jealousy is the same word for zeal or zealotos and the root of the Greek word for example zeal is fire, fire, so that’s why John said, when he sais he’ll baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire, then he sais his fan is in his hand and he will thoroughly purge his floor, so the fire is for purification and separation, sanctification, and consecration and all those good things, it hurts but the result is wonderful!
What you discover under this anointing when you yield to it, it don’t hurt as bad as you thought it would.  I mean how can you be hurting having everything cleared up with a bout of joy? You come out of there and you say wow I laughed my way through that surgery and I thought it was going to be miserable. The fire burning all over, and I am telling you its wonderful. He is purging his floor, he is purifying the sons of Levi that they might offer unto him sacrifices in righteousness, that’s what he said in Malachi.
Malachi 3:3: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.
Malachi 4:2; But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Malachi 3:1-2: Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom yet delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. But who may abide the day of his coming? And who shall stand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiners fire, and the fullers soap.

The Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple, suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant whom you seek for, and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, to purify the sons of Levi, that fire is burning, but its not as miserable as  we thought it would be, in fact its pretty wonderful.
Let me tell you what happens when the fire burns, God will take things away from you in an instant, but for some others, the fire is going to bring up some junk you thought wasn’t there, that you though you had gotten mastery over, that’s the nature of fire in the purification process, to float impurities to the surface. So get ready for junk to come to the surface so God can get rid of it.

Example: A welder has two pieces of steel and a welding rod, and the rod has flux and as the rod is welding the steel, the flux burns with the metal and floats the impurities up to the top out of the weld. Then when done you take a chipping hammer and knock the flux and impurities off and brush it and have a pretty weld and the impurities are gone.
That is what God is doing with the fire, to expose junk and bring impurities to the surface and some are going to have problems with stuff, that’s the purpose of the fire to deal with the stuff and impurities, he is going to expose it, it’s going to be a continuing cleansing, that’s what’s going on, the fire will expose what is hidden in there.

You will see the effects; you will see the increase in the anointing every time you yield to the fire, burning in you and the anointing increases. So tell the Lord to burn on, burn on, cleanse us, let it burn, let it burn, let it burn and we will get purified. If you don’t yield to the fire under the anointing, the fire will burn you up.
It’s the jealousy of the Lord; our God is a consuming fire.
When you step through the fire by faith on the inside you will face glows with the glory.
The children hung on the outside of the fire, they said, Oh we don’t want to go near the fire, don’t let us go there. The Mountain was a blaze with the glory of the Lord and God said Moses come on up and when Moses stepped through the fire and the thick darkness, he got on the other side and went up the Mountain into the presents of the Lord and came back with a face glowing with the glory of God.
Your going to have to go through the fire, but your going through by faith, believing that God is as good as he sais he is, and when you get to the other side you find that the essence of the glory of God is his goodness, and the holiness that appeared threatening to you now becomes the most wonderful, loving, encompassing thing as you sit in his presents through the blood of Jesus, right in the presents of the Father.
Clothed, not with your own holiness but with the righteousness of Jesus, accepted in the beloved, right in the presents of the Father, So let the fire burn, let the fire burn, let the fire burn.

  • The third word is change, change, change, change in your emotions, change in your thinking, change in your theology, change in your relationships, change, change, change.

II Corinthians 3: 16- 18: Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass (mirror) the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as the Holy Spirit of the Lord.

Under the ministry of the New Covenant it’s the ministry of the Spirit and in verse 16 and 17 Paul speaks about the veil being removed, and he sais the veil is removed when anyone turns to the Lord and then he interprets who the Lord is, he sais, Now the Lord is the Spirit, so when you turn to the Spirit veils are removed, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty, liberty for what? For the change in the next verse.
We all with unveiled face, when the veil is removed we can see the glory of the Lord and as we see the glory, and sometimes just out cold or laughing on the floor, the glory of the Lord is Impacting us, and we are changed into the same image  from glory to glory.
How? Even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
So I turn to the Spirit who is the Lord and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
It is correct to translate this to, Where the Spirit is Lord there is Liberty, he demands to be Lord, he is going to Lord everywhere like never before.
We thought we gave the Holy Spirit freedom, but we had our outline, we had our order of service, we had our songs written down that we were going to sing, we had our transparencies all in a row, we knew where we were going and if the Holy Spirit wanted to interrupt, we were real uncomfortable with that.
I’m telling you we will have Liberty only where the Spirit is Lord, and he is going to change us, he’s going to change us. The anointing will bring correction in any area.

Listen to the two stories in the Bible where Jesus told the disciples to loosen the ass and bring the ass to him the donkey you know. The other one where he sent the disciples into the city to go and find the man with the water pot, God spoke and said, instant obedience no reasoning, if those disciples had a reason they would have never done what Jesus told them to do.
For example Jesus told them, Go find a colt upon which no man has ever ridden.
How do you distinguish that a colt has never been ridden on? They don’t have signs on them used colt, see, and the other one was the man with the water pitcher, well there will probly be a bunch of men with water pitchers, how will we know which one is the right one? That is what happens to us, because of the mental reason and the eye connection, so we look at things and we compute everything through our reason, instead of just obeying with our spirit.
The connection has to be made between our eye and our spirit man, and not eye and the mind like we are programmed to in our whole worldly wisdom culture.
Change, Change, change, change, Jesus Christ the anointed one is bringing about change and correction all the time, all the time. It’s the anointing! It’s going to produce change, you are going to be changed into the same image from glory to glory, and we are always dealing with the worldly mentality and the worldly thinking, and God is dramatically bringing about change in the church.

  • The next word is Hunger, Hunger, Hunger now if we are not careful, the word hunger can get into the area of works ( I’ve got to produce hunger, I’ve got to get hungry for God, how do I get hungry for God, well if I fast, and if I pray and if I so on), it is easy to get into works.

We have to recognize something; if people aren’t hungry for God they don’t get much.

Go to Luke 1:53: He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

Spiritual hunger is the recognition that everything that I have is not enough. See the rich get sent away empty, the rich are those who feel sufficient in what they have.
So if you feel like you got it together and everything is rocking along pretty steady and so on, and you say you don’t need this anointing to come and mess up you or your church, you wont get anything.
If fear comes up, the fear of, man if this were to break out in my church, I would loose half of my people, well you wont get anything, because you are to afraid to acknowledge that what you have is not all of what God wants you to have.
Now when you loose half you people then you will start getting hungry, then you’ll start saying, maybe I needed that anointing in the first place, because they left me in any case.
The anointing takes care of your practable responsibilities as well, if you follow the Spirit.

Isaiah 12:3: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Joy is the bucket that draws the water out of the wells of salvation, the church has got its rope lost, but God is restoring the rope so that we can let down the bucket of joy and draw out the wells of salvation, it’s wonderful.
Now talking about hunger, the discovery is that the more you get under the anointing and see the power of God the more you recognize that what you thought was all together is not altogether, and the more you hunger for God. So get into the presents of the Lord and soak for yourself. Go where the anointing is, to soak, and the deception of the enemy is this, well you have it, just go out and give it. Well you need time to get under the anointing and SOAK and feed and drink for yourself, don’t isolate yourself, that’s the enemies deception to get you out of the ministry, because the first thing he does is to isolate you and you feel cut off and abandoned and you become discouraged, disillusioned and the next thing you quit.
You have to understand the dynamics of the enemy, he uses isolation in ministry.
You got to get where the fire is and the water is flowing and where the oil is and get yourself soaked up.
The last word:
  • Consecration, a greater and greater consecration couldn’t come through all the decisions and the commitments, it’s like the anointing sets you apart in a way like never before.

One of the things God is doing is this; He is cleaning up the mouth of the church.
Now there is nothing that will touch your anointing quicker than speaking against another brother or sister that is anointed.

Psalms 105: 14-15: He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea he reproved kings for their sakes: Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
Don’t speak evil against the Lords anointed, because you will loose the anointing.
God is going to set your tongue apart and your not going to be able to speak evil of another brother or sister.

Isaiah 58:6-9: Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thy own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee, the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward. Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity.

We all have to get rid of this pointing of the finger.

There is going to be restoration in the broken relationships, God is going to do it, the fire is burning.

Now the double portion anointing, and what you are going to have to go through to get the double portion anointing.

II Kings 2: 9-15:  And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

Big request but not impossible  Elisha had seen Elijahs anointing and it was like he recognized a good thing when he saw it, and he said, Man if that much is good, I would like double portion please. Twice.
Elisha had a double portion, he had twice as much anointing in the supernatural as Elijah ever did, but he could not duplicate Elijahs anointing, he just had a double portion of the Spirit, but it manifested in different ways, than Elijahs anointing.

Verse 10, And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless if you see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
In other words the way that you can gauge whether you’ve go it is that you will have the ability to see by the spirit what is invisible to human eyesight.
It takes the Spirit of God, you remember what Elijah did with his servant when they were in Do fan and all the armies of Syria came around and the servant comes running and says, Alas alas oh Lord, all the armies are around. So Elijah takes him outside and said, Oh Lord Open his eyes, and he got that touch of Spiritual eyesight and he saw, wow,  the mountains round about were filled with chariots of fire, the army of the Lord.
It was, I only saw the one thing, then I saw reality of the Lord.
So Spiritual eyesight. The ability, God is exercising our senses to discern good and evil, what’s God and what’s Not God, he is bringing us out of that bondage to right and wrong and the bondage to the mind connection between eye and mind with all his purpose in everything by reasoning and rational thinking and he is bringing us to the place where we can see in the Spirit.
All you’re senses will come alive, smell, tast, hearing, feeling, seeing, both visibly and in the Spirit, being in the anointed presents and the senses are being exercised.
We saw the root of that word is to be naked, God is going to take us into his gymnasium under the anointing and he is stripping away all the garbage. All of the grave clothes.
So Elijah says, this is how you will know, if you got it, if you see me when I am taken up into heaven then its so.
Then verse 11, And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, (Suddenly) behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Suddenly, we want quickly, but God said Suddenly. Quickly means soon, God says, Suddenly means when I do it, I do it in a hurry.
You can’t tell what time it’s going to be just when it suddenly happens it’s going to happen suddenly.
We are like Oh Lord quickly, and he said, No my word is suddenly. We are like quickly Lord sooner, and he said, just expect it, when it comes it will be suddenly.
Suddenly a Chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire and separated the two of them and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heave.
Elisha cried out and he saw it, my Father, My Father the chariot of Israel and its horsemen, so he saw him no more.

This passage is about to impact you powerfully, why?
What you do with what you have determines whether you get more.
Later part of verse 12: And he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
He is naked now, come on he is naked, its like if this doesn’t work I have got nothing to fall back on, but I am not going back.
What we have used all these years (our grave clothes) to cover our own nakedness we discard and we don’t just throw them off, we tear them in two so that we cannot put them back on again.

So the Bible says: He took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan. And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? And when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither, and Elisha went over. And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha.

You can put on the mantle, but if it isn’t the anointing, all you got on is someone else’s clothes.
Our mind is our biggest problem when it comes to the Spirit, but if it is not yielded to the Spirit of God its terrible, but when its yielded to the Spirit it’s full of fruit to feed the body of Christ.
Internally you can have the hardest time with strong human reasoning, an intellectual mind will give you the hardest time stepping into the realm of the Spirit, because your so comfortable with all your clothes. Grave clothes that is.
The intellect can keep the anointing from flowing, The intellect has a fear of being naked, to let go and let God’s Spirit work. If we get into the Spirit and out of intellect, we are tearing our clothes and we are tearing that which covers our nakedness that makes us feel secure and comfortable, and it exposes us.
You cannot put on Elijahs mantle over your own cloths and Elisha knew that.
You tear the old to take the new and you don’t ever go back to the old, there is no going back. I’m telling you right now there is no going back. There is no going back.
Once you have tasted of the heavenly gift you cannot go back.
So there is going to have to be some tearing, Gods tearing up a church, tearing up a ministry tearing up programs, tearing up methods, why? Because he wants to give you a double portion of anointing.
God doesn’t want to leave you naked, he wants to cloth you with his anointing, his anointing. There’s going to be a tearing, to get it done.

When we find a groove we walk in and, and we say, why should I give that up to launch out into something that might not work for me. Then we go and trust the anointing to do everything that we were able to do through our counseling, and preaching, and teaching that we were so comfortable in and now God wants to lay us on the carpet and do the work himself.
People say, well I’m not sure that we would like that. The people might say your not earning your money, thank you very much Pastor off you go. You not doing enough for us these days, we are expecting you to preach a good sermon.
NO God wants to lay you on the floor in front of the pulpit all the Sunday morning services, would you do it??
If you wait for the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will come, and do the stuff, demonstrate the word.
Wait on the Spirit and don’t grieve the Holy Spirit.
Don’t put your security in the approval of man, if so those clothes are going to tear hard.
The only approval that you need is the approval of God.
It’s worth it, the joy of the anointing. Just rejoice of the fact that God showed up and he did his work, and he touched people and lives were transformed, and burdens were removed, and yokes were destroyed.
