Isaiah
10:27, - and it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken
away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall
be destroyed because of the anointing.
The “Word” is the Anointing. Isaiah says, when the
anointing is present, burdens will be removed, and yokes will be destroyed.
So
don’t judge a thing by the fact that it gives you Goosebumps. The proof of the
anointing is that burdens are removed and yokes are destroyed. One may not be
able to put it into words, but they will know that God has removed a burden,
because one comes in heavy and then go out light, they come in with a burden of
sorrow and mourning, and go out with joy. One comes in with worry and walks out
with peace. It is easy to understand that when there’s that manifestation, when
you get people under the anointing, and the Glory of God, and let God do the
work.
The
Definition of the anointing is: The
burden removing, yoke destroying power of God.
Isaiah
61:1, The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the lord hath anointed me
to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken
hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to
them that are bound.
The
promise of what will happen through Jesus the anointed one, and if you read the
preceding verses from Isaiah 53: 1-12. Isaiah 61 is because of Isaiah 53,
because Jesus the anointed one, a substitute death on the cross, is going to
deal with the sin problem that separates us from God. So that God is able to
come with the anointing, the yoke destroying, burden removing power and
mightily do a work in us, because of what Jesus the anointed one did on the
cross.
Question-
what are good tidings to a poor man? It’s that Jesus the anointed one has
inherited the Kingdome of God and has committed his resources so that no one
has to be poor again- then they can receive hope, its having the power
available so no one has to be poor again.
Jesus
the anointed one came and said “ I am here with the burden removing, yoke
destroying power of God upon me, so you wont have to be poor any more.” Jesus the anointed one has the means and
power available for poverty to be broken off your life, and God’s prosperity to
come in your life.
That’s
what the “ good news” about the gospel is. We’ve gone and told a lot of
people, you don’t have to be sick any more, and they say, well what are you
going to do about it?
It
is time for the church to recognize we have the anointing and not just talk
about healing, but lay hands on people and expect God to heal them, because the
anointing is on us, and not just talk about what God can do by the anointing.
It
is time to appropriate the anointing and do the stuff, Amen, people are going
to have to get their hands dirty and do the works! Being trained in a
theological semitar- oh uh seminary to stand behind the pulpit, preaching
wonderful messages, and praying that the message would do everything won’t
work!!!
In
the Bible there is a demonstration of the gospel and not just a declaration of
the gospel. God has to get us from behind the pulpit and do the stuff.
Ezekiel
37: 3-8, And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered,
O Lord God, thou knowest.
Again
he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones,
hear the word of the Lord.
Thus
saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into
you, and ye shall live:
And
I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you
with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know I am the
Lord. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a
noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And
when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin
covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
This
is just prophesying to the bones only, that’s why people, pastors, ect,
can’t get anything done in the church, or congregations. We keep speaking to
the bones and speaking to the bones and we get frustrated cause nothing
happens.
Ezekiel
37: 9-10, Then said he unto me, Prophecy unto the wind, prophecy, son of man,
and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O
breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he
commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon
their feet, an exceeding great army.
We
must deal with the wind, the Spirit, the Ruach and quit prophesying to the
bones and telling the bones to stand up on their feet. Now turn to the wind,
the Spirit, the Ruach and say “Blow oh wind, blow on these bones that they may
live.” That is exactly what God wants us to do, to release the anointing, by
blowing on people, laying hands on people helps, but blowing is the wind, the
life, the Spirit, the Ruach, the breath of God. We’ve got to invite the Holy
Spirit to come then blow on people, and the Spirit of God will overshadow
people, then they will be on the floor under the anointing. Things like that
happen when the anointed powerful presents of God is invited and then shows up
in a mighty move.
We
cant stand in the garbage of Tradition, because tradition wont get Gods anointing
there, we must be totally loosed from mans tradition! Just believing the Word
of God and that we are anointed, and believing that God will do that he has
promised to do, in faith will get the anointing.
Now
about Eli shah, who was following Elijah to the point of Elijah being taken
away, and Elijah turned to Eli shah and he said, “What would you want me to do
for you?” and Eli shah said, “I want a double portion of the anointing
that’s on you.” You know, He was bold, hungry for God.
#
Important Point- Don’t miss the opportunity, when someone is shouting
under the anointing, by the word of wisdom, word of knowledge, by the Spirit of
God, to run, run, don’t just sit tight, be bold, be bold, take
out of your chair and run. The Spirit of God will overwhelm you, when the
Spirit of God says to run, don’t sit still. The Spirit of God is inviting you
to come to him, don’t hesitate, GO! It’s not a word that God is giving you a
suggestion, He is telling you run.
Become so obedient to the Spirit and grab and seize the moment of
visitation, or you’ll be left looking at the river as the water flows by.
In
the story, Elijah says, “Ok, this will be done for you, if you will see me when
I’m taken into heaven, it will be so for you.” Remember, as Elijah was taken
into heaven Eli shah did see him, but something incredible happened.
Elijah
dropped his mantle, as he was caught up, and the Bible says, Eli shah tore his
clothes in two pieces and picked up the mantle of Elijah, and said, “Where is
the God of Elijah.” And he struck the waters.
The
prophet Eli shah tore his own clothes in two pieces.
God
said, if you want my anointing, you are going to have to tear your clothes in
two pieces. Meaning- the things that you are comfortable with that cover your
nakedness and keep you from getting embarrassed. There is something about this
anointing, that your going to cut those comforts in two pieces, they will make
you uncomfortable with the move of the Spirit of God. We’ve got to want Gods
anointing more than anything, because the anointing will cost you everything,
this is not dabbling, this is not experimentation. The anointing will cost you
everything, people are going to have to say good by to reputation, but the
anointing is so wonderful, you don’t care what people say about you, when you
see the power of God changing lives, really, who cares what anybody thinks
about you.
It’s going to cost you all your comforts, everything, it
will lead to so much change for the good by God, marriages, finances,
everything will be changed by the anointing, and it’s wonderful. Don’t give
anything for what God will do in your life. People tasty and see the Lord is
good. Don’t choose anything over the anointing, don’t get settled in to
material things, they will get you side tracked from the anointing.
The joy of carrying the anointing that was on Jesus the
anointed one, to be able to minister under the power of that anointing and to
be able to know the reality of the anointed ones presents within you, and
ministering through you, greatly out weighs anything. It’s a glorious call that
God is calling us to. It’s time the church gives up its small ambitions, yes
people give up your small ambitions. There’s a great move of God in the earth
and he wants his people to be involved, and we will have to give up very small
ambitions that are miniscule by comparison.
Isaiah 61: 1-2, The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;
because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath
sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and
the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable
year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that
mourn;
It’s not just to tell the brokenhearted they can get
healed, Jesus the anointed one said, “Go heal them!” and the anointing will
heal them. How do you proclaim liberty to the captives? By the burden removing,
yoke destroying power of God, so you can say to the captives, you can be free
by the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God, it’s here, it’s on earth,
you don’t have to wait until tomorrow, it’s here today.
The opening of the prison to those that are bound, to
proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord- That’s Jubilee.
Jesus the anointed one skipped- The day of vengeance of
our God, because it wasn’t yet the day, but we’re getting close to the time,
when we are going to be proclaiming this. The day of vengeance of our God is at
hand, and it’s time for people to get ready, and so that message is going to be
restored to the church as never before. It is time, God is coming in power to
judge the earth as he said. To comfort all who mourn. Why is it that we thought
that misery was morbid and sad, when the anointing is come to comfort you?
Isaiah 61:3, To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to
give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of
praise for the Spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of
righteousness. The planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
The Psalms
proclaims and so does Hebrews chapter 1, says that Jesus the anointed one and
was anointed with the oil of joy above his fellows, by God. He had more joy on
him than any one else. Unsaved people loved to be around Jesus the anointed
one.
So the Pharisees called him a glutton and wine bibber,
why? He was so non-Religious, always eating and drinking, they called him the
friend of sinners, why? Because he knew he wasn’t touching people by the
Religious nature, He was touching people by the anointing, and part of that anointing
was the oil of joy and He rubbed it on everybody who was around him, and they
liked it. The only people who didn’t want joy was the Religious people, the
Pharisees didn’t want joy. They said, “No that’s not of God, this move is not
of God. If this move was of God everybody would be weeping and crying out and
repenting with tears.” NO! NO!
The anointing is to give the oil of joy to those who
mourn, yes, why did we miss it? Why did we get stuck and sucked into this
Religious garbage that we have been in?
The oil of joy is anointing all the squeaky joints, we’ve
been needing oil around the church, people have been squeaking. The garment of praise for heaviness, Notice
one thing he’s giving beauty for ashes. What are ashes? Ashes are the residue
of a fire that once burned brightly, but has since gone out.
The church has been looking back to a past fire and said,
“Oh if we could only have the revival that happened back then.” God says, “They
are ashes. Forget them, sweep them out, throw them in the garbage, it’s a new
day, I’m giving you beauty for your ashes.”
People like to rearrange the ashes and study the ashes.
God says, “I want to give you beauty for ashes, listen it’s a new day, it’s a
new day. Give up your ashes, your not going back.” We’re not going back to Pentecost people,
that was the former rain, that was just the beginning.
The glory of the latter house is going to exceed the glory
of the former. We’re going to get the early and latter rain together. Beauty
for ashes, Gods doing a beautiful work, a beautiful thing in the earth.
That they may be called Trees of righteousness the
planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. Listen he’s bringing stability
to the church, you know where the stability comes through.
It comes by the anointing, he’s doing all that so we can
be called, infact oaks of righteousness, Oaks are a sturdy, solid Tree. People
have been looking for stability of the Holy Spirit, and his ministry. We’ve
never had stability to come, because we’ve never allowed the Holy Spirit and
his oil of joy to release us from a lot of the hurt that is inside of us.
There is so much wounded ness in people, and the way we’ve
handled it is we’ve just suppressed it, we’ve put a facade over it, and
pretended like it isn’t there.
In worship we find all the emotions bubbling up and
instead of calling for ministry time, the pastors have the people sit back down
and put the cap back on the emotions that have been stirred by the worship, and
then preach a message and then minister, and everybody has gone cold.
The time to minister is when the wounds are being exposed
in the presents of the Lord, in worship and let him pour in the oil and heal
the wounds. People the ritual has gotten all mixed up.
Isaiah 61:7, For your shame ye shall have double; and for
confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they
shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
Verse 10, I will greatly be joyful in my Lord, my soul
shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of
salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom
decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her
jewels.
Everlasting joy shall be theirs and we saw from Jeremiah
33 that there is going to be heard the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of
the bride.
Jeremiah 33: 11, The voice of joy, and the voice of
gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of
them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his
mercy endureth, for ever; and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise
into the house of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the
land, as at the first, saith the Lord.
He is romancing and decking his bride with the garments of
salvation. Guess what they are? Joy!
Isaiah 12: 3, Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out
of the wells of salvation.
When you draw water out of the wells it produces Joy, like
the woman at the well of Samaria, when she got a drink, she went into the
city, and she went and shared that Jesus
the anointed one ministered there, and there was great joy.
Luke 4: 14-19,21, And Jesus returned in the power of the
Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region
round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. And he
came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as was his custom was, he
went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there
was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened
the book, he found the place where it is written. THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS
UPON ME, BECAUSE HE HATH ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; HE HATH
SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED, TO PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND
RECOVERING OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT ARE BRUISED, TO
PREACH THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD. And he began to say unto them, This day
is this scripture fulfilled in you ears.
Look at how crucial this is with the anointing and Jesus
the anointed one’s ministry. Jesus the anointed one started his ministry in the
synagogues, that we thought was a one off incident that is recorded for us, but
if you read the scriptures you will discover that he read from Isaiah 61
and he preached the same message as his custom was. Have a look at what it
says, in verse 16, all one concept, as his custom was, he went to the
synagogues on the Sabbath and stood up to read, every time he went to a
synagogue he went to read the Bible. That is what it says, what did he read?
He read about his anointing and he was handed the book of
the prophet Isaiah, and when he had opened the book he found the place where it
was written. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to
preach the gospel to the poor, he has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to
proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set
at liberty those that are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the
Lord. That’s what Isaiah said would happen. The Spirit of the Lord would be on
him, so he was announcing what was upon him, he closed the book, gave it back
to the attendant and set down, and the eyes of all who were in the synagogue
were fixed on him, and he began to say to them. “This day is this scripture
fulfilled in your hearing.”
Luke 4: 21-23, And he began to say unto them, This day is
this scripture fulfilled in your ears. And all bare him witness, and wondered
at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son? And
he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal
thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy
country.
What did they hear about Capernaum? What he had done in Capernaum,
he had ministered in the synagogues, and guess what he did, he read about his
anointing and then he did the stuff. They heard it and they said, “We want to
see him do the stuff.” The only problem was they were offended by the fact he
was Josephe’s boy. Familiarity breeds contempt, and because they were familiar
with Jesus the anointed one, the kid growing up in their midst he could not do
the works in Nazareth, all he did was read the word and then spoke a word of judgment, and then they tried to kill
him. How about that, to have a ministry in your hometown, and then be run out
of town?
In Acts 10:1-33, What you are going to see is this, that
was the consistent ministry of Jesus the anointed one wherever he went. The story of Jesus the anointed one
ministering in the house of Cornelius. Think of this, how supernatural
manifestations accompany the story. 1# Peter falls into a trance, that’s pretty
remarkable isn’t it , that’s a supernatural thing. In the trance he hears God
speaking to him verbally, he hears a voice saying, Rise Peter, Kill and eat.
There is an audible voice that speaks to him in the midst of the trance the 3rd
thing is this, that the Spirit speaks to him as well, and says that, there are
3 men waiting for you, go with them, don’t question anything, the 4th
thing is that an angel has appeared to Cornelius and said, your prayers and
alms ascended on high. Now send to Joppa to the house of Simon the surnamed
Peter, and get Peter. There is a lot of supernatural stuff going on, Peters message
is a key message, and what did he preach?
Acts 10: 34- 38, Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of
a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he
that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word
which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: he
is Lord of all: That word, I say ye know, which was published throughout all
Judea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; How God
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about
doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with
him.
Look at the Word. What or who is the Word that was sent to
Israel? Jesus Christ the anointed one, the “Word” and he came bearing the word,
the message of God to Israel. What does Peter say is the content and the
purpose of that message? It’s peace, peace, and peace to Israel, preaching
peace through Jesus Christ the anointed one.
Now, whenever you see the word Christ, translate it and
meditate. See we have missed in our translation, the English translation what
Peter is saying. Whenever he spoke to a Greek community and said the word Christos,
they heard anointing, because that’s what Christos means, the anointed with
his anointing, and unfortunately instead of translating the anointed one for us
to understand, we translated it Christ, and so guess what most of the church
thinks, Christ is Jesus Last name.
Jesus real last name is Am his Father is, I am, and he’s Jesus
Am. He is everything you need him to be; Christ is not his last name. It’s a
description of the anointing that is upon him, he is the anointed one who bears
and carries the anointing of the Father, so whenever the name Christ was
mentioned, it was an indication of the anointing on him, it was an indication
of his ministry. We missed it, because we read it as Christ and we think it’s
just a title. It isn’t just a title, it is a description of what he’s here to
do, when Jesus the anointed one shows up, watch out, the anointing is going to
flow. If it doesn’t flow Jesus the anointed one didn’t show up. You got
Goosebumps, but when Jesus the anointed one shows up the anointing flows, and
the anointing is the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God.
So what you come to realize is, a lot of services you
thought was anointed wasn’t anointed, and a lot of preaching you thought was
anointed wasn’t anointed, because it all was just words and no demonstration,
and Jesus the anointed one didn’t preach without demonstrating his word. He did
the stuff, because the anointing means that you don’t just preach, but that you
do it, you do the stuff.
You don’t just tell a poor man, you don’t have to be poor
any more, and you give him the power not to be poor any more, that’s the
anointing. So Jesus the anointed one just didn’t say you’re free. He set the
captives free.
So when Jesus the anointed one shows up, guess what?
Burdens be removed, yokes will be destroyed, because he is the anointed one.
God sends this message of peace through Jesus the anointed one, he is Lord of
all. I am so glad Peter put that in there, he just he’s Lord of all.
Look at verse 37, That word, I say ye know, which was
published throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which
John preached;
That word, he uses, the Rhema word, and he says Cornelius,
you know about this, you have heard about this, it’s been gossiped everywhere,
everybody knows about Jesus the anointed one’s ministry, and so It’s the spoken
word, that word, in fact one of the translations is that thing, the whole
event, the word that you know which was proclaimed throughout all Judea and
began from Galilee after the baptism John preached.
Peter is tying it to the ministry of Jesus the anointed
one that began in Galilee after his baptism. What did his ministry consist of?
He went into the synagogues and as was his custom he would
declare that the anointing was here and he would do the stuff. It was only in
Nazareth that they wouldn’t let him do the stuff; they said, “We would rather
kill you.” So as he said I’m the anointed one. Religious people don’t like the
anointing. They are annoyed, rather than anointed. They get annoyed at the
works of God. They have a religious spirit around that they need to be loosed
from and that’s what the anointing is for, to set you free and never stay
captive to it, the Horrible Religious Spirit.
Look what he says in verse 38, How God anointed Jesus of
Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and
healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
This was the summation of Jesus the anointed one’s
ministry, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth, and identifies his humanity, he
was a human being, he was a man.
John says, every spirit that denies that
Christ the anointed one has been manifest in the flesh, is the spirit of the
antichrist, anti the anointing. If you deny the anointing, you’ve got the
spirit of antichrist ministering to you, and its been all over the church, and
it’s clothed itself with religiosity, Religious cloths, but it’s the spirit of
antichrist, and you will watch and see the biggest opposition to this new move
of God, which is going to come from Religious systems.
The spirit of the antichrist had taken over; religion has
been taken over by the spirit of the antichrist. It is going to rise up, rise
up and say, “This is not God, and this is of the Devil!” That is what the
spirit of the antichrist-religiosity will do.
Now, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth, the Human Jesus
of Nazareth, he was anointed with the Holy Spirit and that’s how he did good.
With the Holy Spirit and power, going about doing good, and healing all who
were oppressed of the Devil, for God was with him. What Peter is saying is,
that what Jesus the anointed one preached all the time, he preached starting in
Galilee, he said God has anointed me, Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit
and with power, and he went about doing good and healing all those who were
oppressed of the Devil.
That was the word, the disciples preached Christ
the anointed one, you see, we say, oh they preached Christ here, that was Jesus
the anointed one, why did they say they preached Christ? Because they preached
about the anointed one and his anointing. When Paul was saved, he went into Damascus
into the synagogue, and it said he preached Christ, he didn’t just preach about
Jesus. He preached the anointed one and his anointing, why? Because that’s what
Jesus the anointed one preached. What was Lost? The Devil did a number on us
poor English speaking people, because of the translations of the Bible, who
didn’t translate Christ for us, as the anointed one and his anointing, they
just left it as a title and we’ve been in darkness, but guess what?
God is restoring, he’s anointing and he’s restoring our
insight into that anointing these days. We’ve got to preach the anointing from
now on, and we will see incredible signs and wonders, we will see the power of
God, because when you preach on the anointing get ready, the people are going
to come.
Preach the anointing and demonstrate the anointing and
watch what happens! You know what is going to happen? Burdens are going to be
removed and yokes are going to be destroyed by the power of God that is present
in the place.
Peter says, “This is what Jesus the anointed one
preached.” Look at what happened, God got so excited by Peters message that he
interrupted his message. He said, Peter would you hush, and Peter didn’t hush.
And God said Ok Peter wont hush, I’m just going to do it anyway, look at what the
Bible says.
Acts 10: 44, While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy
Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
God says, Peter quit get out of the way, I want to come
and baptize these people in the Holy Spirit. God just swamped Cornelius and his
household with the Holy Spirit and power, and they began to speak with other
tongues.
God likes that message of the anointing; when you preach
on the anointing, watch what happens. Signs and wonders take place, because you
are preaching about the anointing and the anointed one Jesus and his anointing,
and he is here.
So we are going to see as we go on, how the early church
preached about the anointing. How we read Christ, but they preached the
anointing, wherever they preached Christ, the spirit of God came on the scene,
there was a demonstration, God confirmed his “Word”. One passage to show you,
turn to Hebrews 2.
Just look at this passage.
Hebrews 2: 1-4, Therefore we ought to give the more
earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let
them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every
transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; How shall
we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation; which at the first began to be
spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also
bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles,
and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
That’s the manifestation of the anointing with signs and
wonders, so guess what?
The writer of Hebrews is saying Jesus the anointed one
began to preach that word all of his followers, preached the same word, because
they bore witness to the same message that Jesus the anointed one had preached,
and God got excited, and said, “I like it when these guys preach about my
anointing.
So he did signs and wonders and various gifts of the Holy
Spirit, according to his will. They stayed true to the message that Jesus the
anointed one had preached from the beginning in Galilee, as they preached about
the anointing.
Now, What’s going to happen is this, as people start
reading the Bible, and the word Christ is seen and we start putting in the
anointing and the anointed one, the start realizing it was the central theme.
We recognize the name Christ appears 341 times in the New Testament, 341 times
all together the references to the anointing, to Christos 570 times, that word
is used in the New Testament.
The anointed one and his anointing is in you, you are his,
and you start reading, Christ in you is your hope of glory, the anointing in
you, the anointed one in you, the hope of your glory. Listen to this one. I can
do all things through Christ who strengthens me, the anointed one and his
anointing.
In fact in the original Greek, and the king James follows
this, I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me, that’s not
masculine, it’s neuter, and so what is God saying? He wasn’t referring to
Christ the anointed, he was referring to the anointing which strengthens me.
Paul was saying, it’s exactly the same word, but the translators thought it
best to translate it Christ. It really should read, I can do all things through
the anointing which strengthens me, Wow!
You get a new Bible, we get a new gospel, and it’s not a
new one, it’s the original one. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy
Spirit and with power, and he went about doing good and healing all those who
were oppressed of the Devil. Jesus the anointed one read Isaiah and said, “This
day is this scripture fulfilled in your hearing.” Proclaiming that the
anointing increases, the Spirit of God will start touching people. When you
preach, this day, this day, not tomorrow, this day, God shows up and says, “Yea
let me do it.”
Do you think God is reluctant to heal and to deliver, but
a lot of preachers gave you that impression, because they preached a wonderful
message and then didn’t demonstrate it, and you went home thinking, oh well
maybe tomorrow, maybe next week. Oh Jesus the anointed one said, “This day.”
The only people who get upset are the religious people,
they get annoyed instead of anointed, they get annoyed instead of anointed.
This day, this day, this scripture is fulfilled in your
hearing. Jesus said, “I am the anointed one, now don’t get Religious and get annoyed,
I am anointed, you are anointed also.”
Why have we been so reluctant to say? I am anointed? The
enemy neutralized us from walking in that burden removing, yoke destroying
power of God, by feeding that we were some egotist by saying, “I’m anointed.” NO!
Every Christian is anointed; in fact the word Christ means
anointed one and his anointing. So if you say I’m a Christian, you are saying
I’m anointed, I am anointed. Wow!
Pretty good, see and when you proclaim your anointed, you
are saying by faith the anointing is on you, and therefore you have the power
to remove burdens, and destroy yokes, and then you begin by faith to believe
that it’s there and start doing the stuff. God backs up his “Word” and the
anointing does it! The anointing does it!
